SUSTAINABILITY \\

A practical approach to sustainable roofing.

See how we make sustainability and integral part of our projects.

  • Sustainability is an important part of modern roofing, but it has to be approached properly.

For us, that means looking at it as part of the wider job, considering it alongside:

    • The programme

    • Budgets

    • How the building will be used by occupants

    • Fire risk

    • Long-term performance

This means that some projects will call for green roofing, blue roofs or photovoltaic systems. Whereas others may require an initially less environmentally friendly solution at the point of installation, but for great gains over the course of its lifespan.

We look at what the building needs, what you're trying to achieve and what will stand the test of time. The right answer is usually the one that balances environmental considerations with quality, compliance and lifespan.

    1. We'll always seek to incorporate sustainable roofing solutions where they genuinely add value.

    2. We'll always operate in line with current environmental standards and evolving regulations.

    3. We'll always manage our environmental impact during our entire process, from design to delivery and aftercare.

    4. We'll always use modern methods and technologies that reduce risk and improve outcomes.

  • To consider sustainability when on site, we will always:

    • Manage waste responsibly, including removal and disposal in line with site and environmental requirements.

    • Plan site setup to reduce unnecessary disruption to the building and its surroundings.

    • Consider installation methods that minimise risk and impact, particularly on live sites.

    • Use modern application techniques where appropriate, including lower-risk alternatives to traditional hot works.

    • Select materials and systems that align with current standards, including non-combustible and compliant options where required.

    • Build project-specific plans (RAMS, construction phase plans) that account for site conditions, risks and environmental factors.

    • Adapt delivery based on the type of building, particularly in sensitive environments like schools and hospitals.

    • Work in line with environmental policies and broader compliance frameworks already in place.

    • Coordinate with manufacturers and partners to ensure systems are installed correctly and perform as intended.

  • Our approach to sustainability means that your sustainability requirements are met in a way that still works for your:

    • Budget

    • Programme

    • Building use

Without unnecessary additions that don’t add value.

The result is a roof that performs as expected, aligns with current standards, and is delivered with a clear understanding of how the building needs to operate during and after the work.

CORPORATE SOCIAL VALUE \\

Supporting the communities we work in.

See how we approach giving back in a way that’s practical, relevant, and tied to the places we’re working in.

  • We support the communities connected to the projects we deliver. That often means working with local schools, organisations and stakeholders where our presence on site has a direct impact, and contributing in a way that reflects that.

  • Our approach to social value is shaped by the project itself. Rather than applying a fixed model, we look at what’s appropriate for the location and client, and contribute through practical initiatives such as local sponsorship or community support.

  • We see social value as part of the job, not something separate from it. That means looking for opportunities to give something back alongside the roofing works, and considering this early in the project rather than leaving it as an afterthought.

  • Social value is now built into many frameworks and public sector projects. We make sure our approach aligns with those requirements, delivering contributions that are realistic, appropriate, and clearly linked to the work being carried out.
