OUR H&S PHILOSOPHY \\
A considered approach to risk.
Most safety issues on a roofing project aren't caused by what happens on site, they actually start earlier, in how the system is specified and how the work is planned.
We focus on designing out risk before anyone steps onto a roof. That means choosing systems that reduce fire and installation hazards, carefully planning access and sequencing, and thinking about the building as a whole, not just the waterproofing layer.

Where risk can't be eliminated, it's managed through proper planning, documented procedures, and teams who understand the systems they're working with.

SAFETY \\
How we ensure safe work on live environments.
A lot of the buildings we work on don't stop operating while we're there. Throughout places like schools, hospitals, care homes and offices, people are inside the building and the work has to happen around them.
Schools & Education
Term-time constraints, safeguarding requirements, and the need to keep outdoor areas safe and accessible for children.
Healthcare & Hospitals
Infection control considerations, sensitive equipment, restricted access zones, and patients who can't simply be relocated.
Occupied commercial buildings
Managing noise, dust, access routes and programme around tenants and daily operations, without causing unnecessary disruption.
FIRE SAFETY \\
Fire risk & modern roofing methods.
Fire risk in roofing is a well-documented concern, and one that's changed how the industry specifies and installs systems. We take it seriously at every stage.

Where appropriate, we specify cold-applied or mechanically fixed systems that eliminate the need for naked flame on the roof. This is especially important on occupied buildings and timber-framed structures.
System selection

We specify materials that meet current fire classification standards and can evidence compliance through manufacturer documentation and test data.
Material standards

When hot-applied systems are the right solution, we follow formal hot-works permits, dedicated fire watches, and post-completion monitoring — documented for every project.
Strict hot-works procedures

Our approach is informed by evolving regulations and guidance, including the lessons from recent industry changes around combustible materials and building safety.
Regulatory alignment
CERTIFICATIONS \\
Our accreditations.

ConstructionLine Gold
Demonstrates we have the required insurance, policies and procedures in place. Gold level requires evidence of competency across a rigorous application process.

CHAS (Construction Health & Safety)
Recognised assessment scheme verifying our health and safety management systems meet the required standard.

RISK MANAGEMENT \\
How risk is managed on every project.
Every project follows our risk management framework, which is documented, reviewed and tailored to the site.
Produced bespoke for each project, covering the specific systems, site conditions and access requirements.
Every project receives a construction phase plan covering scope, sequencing, safety protocols, emergency contacts, and site-specific requirements. This is shared with the client before work begins.
Where required, we produce lifting plans, traffic management plans, and permit-to-work documentation, all aligned to the specific conditions of the site.
Clear procedures are established for each site covering first aid, fire response, and evacuation, including coordination with the building's own emergency plans on occupied sites.
Safety isn't a one-off exercise. We conduct regular site reviews, address issues as they arise, and document everything.
We work in partnership with a dedicated safety consultancy who provide and maintain all of our policies: health and safety, environmental, anti-slavery and more.

This means our documentation is always current, our processes are regularly reviewed and every project is backed by a consistent, repeatable way of working.
.
From pre-start documentation to post-completion handover, every stage is planned and recorded.
It's how we deliver reliably, project after project.
